When traveling you should use a multi-currency card such as WISE.   The currency exchange rates are much less than your bank will charge you.  TD for example charges 2.5% on top of the VISA Rate.

Use a Password Manager.

Never use the same password on multiple sites

Prefer to use a 2FA (MFA) app (google authenticator, authy) rather than a phone number for 2FA if the website offers you the option.

Use a VPN when using public wifi .   PIA (Private Internet Access) is a good one.

Backups - Use the 3-2-1 Rule. Keep your data backed up in 3 different places, 2 local backups, and 1 offsite (or in the cloud).
